As much as people start discovering their sexuality during childhood and actually immediately after birth which is common with boys, things have gone over board nowadays, and we cannot avoid it, the only option we have is to educate our children on sex lay bare the facts and with this I am sure we can save a lot, recently here in Kenya parents were complaining that our TV stations are encouraging a lot of sex and one of the parent had a problem with one of the TV Station’s signature tune which is -Turning On Kenya. Anyway as much as we would restrain the children from watching some of the programs which are accompanied by sex scenes at home, internet which is now available in most schools has a lot in store for them in black and white, so the only way is to tell them issues as they are.

Rose, thank you for your contribution. I have often heard that girls actually mature faster than the boys, that is, girls become sexually active much faster than the boys. So in the case of such a relationship, i would think that the girls tend to initiate them more.
Of course, TV, Internet etc all are rich avenues for children to engage in sex and parents should regulate it but i still don’t believe that we should start burdening our 5year olds with what sex education, instead of spending time teaching them a better skill.

Only the open discussion and the sex education can help handling such situation, nothing else! Scolding, beating or oppressing children will make the matter worse.

how about the people abusing the children? This is absolutely rape. Vulnerable groups of people are raped and then dumped. heavy punishments should be imposed on these just like they are imposed on males raping women.

Sometimes back on IB have written an article on how media is affecting the behaviour of children.I have also stated how movies affect the thought process of movies.What you have sated confirms my fears that media is influencing tender minds in a great way.
