English soccer frustration leaves 10 Ugandans deadLast week, a presidential guard sprayed bullets in a city pub after disappointment over the loss suffered by Arsenal football club to machester United football club in the champions league. The guard did not live another day to witness another arsenal loss at the hands of the same club at Arsenal’s home ground this week.

Soccer is such a passionate game to the point that whenever these a famous english team is playing, cheers could be heard when a goals are scored allover the city. Many people greatly look forward to a weekend of relaxation just watching the primeirship or the champions League.

Sports Betting Africa, a betting and gambling company is another source of great joy or frustration for many people. Most of the time, after losing out on bets on different soccer matches, most male fans turn their frustration onto their colleagues and family.

It is not surprising that the same happened with this presidential guard who went on to arm himself with several rounds of ammunition and later get back to the pub to vent his anger on the unsuspecting crowd, leaving 10 people dead. A relaxing moment turned to mourning. If soccer fans do not learn to control their emotions whenever they suffer defeat, this could all be the beginning of mass murder.

Pretty sad... No sane person would kill over a GAME. Clearly, the man was mentally ill / depressed. He needed help!!!

everybody here agrees with that line of thinking... but maybe there is an inside story...

Only people who are mentally ill actually let a sporting event affect their emotional pysche to the detriment of themselves and others. Sad.

Betting too probably plays a part. Most people realize what a bad dream they have been having upon a losing a game. There was actually a story sometime back that a person had gone ahead to put up his house plus wife as a bet on a european game and he lost!

this is insanity. its good to be football mad. wearing t-shirts and painting your face with your favorite team etc. etc. is okay. but when it comes to killing another person or yourself. i need to draw the line there.

true, but so many people are getting passionate to the point that they wouldn’t think about their next action after feeling the pain of losing a soccer game.

Sporting events are a symbolic struggle for land assets and superiority of gens
All societies perform theses useless actions to gain strenth and show how my people are stronger or more agile than yours and that means my gens will be on top
The poorer countries find it more important because it is a way to show their gens have strenth
Any dizzy human that says people must be mental to act that way don’t understand evolution and it’s power on humans to accomplish her drive for the strongest gens
Nature is cruel and what makes it worse is her use of emotion to bring so much misery to humans

nature has been accused of so many things and just maybe, it could be possible that it is responsible for a situation like this...
